Certified Labor Doula & Postpartum Doula
Serving San Diego
Hello, I am so glad that you are here! I am a Certified Labor Doula, Postpartum Doulabirth, and lactation support professional serving the San Diego community. I have a burning passion for women’s health, maternal care, and families. Growing up, I often asked my mom to tell me my birth story before bed. Sometimes I still call her to hear it again. After advocating and seeking answers for myself at OB appointments at a young age, I dove deep into the women’s health world, which led me into the birth space. Then I discovered podcasts and birth videos, where I was captivated by the stories of powerful births that had loving Doulas present. What stuck me was how, with support, women were empowered, educated, and nurtured to fulfilling, sacred, and beautiful births!
Whether they were unmedicated or medicated, vaginal or belly birth deliveries, first or fifth time moms - support Doulas provided: educational, physical, emotional, a nd spiritual support that allowed the families to thrive! I knew my heart and soul were meant to be a part of supporting women and families during such an intimate season of life. I knew I was meant to be a doula - and thus a doula was born!
In 2023, I completed my birth doula training with DONA, Doulas of North America. Then, in 2024, I received postpartum training with DONA, expanding my birth work toolbox further. In 2025, I took the next steps and completed my Labor Doula Certification with Birth and Baby University. Since becoming a doula, I have sought out continuing education in the allied health field and the lactation professional field, as you will find out more about! Before this time, I worked supporting families in the childcare setting (both commercial and private) for over 4 years, focusing on Child Development for infants 0 to 18 months old! In the meantime, I have maintained my CPR certification along the way. I have now proudly supported dozens of San Diego families through birth and postpartum. But my journey doesn’t end there!
The road I’ve taken and where I’m headed:
Since becoming a doula, I have learned my deep love for supporting lactation. Through education, empowerment, and nourishment, I believe every family should be supported unconditionally and wholeheartedly in their infant feeding journeys. I am an IBCLC, Internationally Certified Lactation Consultant, student at UCSD Extended Studies, where I am expanding my horizons to provide additional lactation support to families. In the meantime, I have completed the Lactation Education Counselor course at UCSD Extended, giving me 90+ hours of lactation-specific education. This foundation of lactation-centered experience shapes the support I give families by providing dedicated tailored lactation support to every family I am blessed to work with.
In addition, close to my heart is the time I spent volunteering with Operation Doula, which provides volunteer doulas to military families here in San Diego. I am a military wife and know that having support during transitional times in life can make all the difference! Supporting military families like my own is something near and dear to my heart. In addition, I have often held space for “faith-based” births to the Christian community, which I continue to offer when requested.
Although it is important to me to serve individuals regardless of living situation, beliefs, insurance type, and identity. I feel it is a human right to be cared for equally, with respect, consent, and unconditional love. I am always willing to come together and decide how I can best serve YOU, right where you are in life. I am experienced in supporting LGBTQ+ families, adoptions, surrogate families, NICU stays, high-risk pregnancy/births, babies with cleft lip/palate, single/solo parents, and more.
How you are supported in birth matters.
How you are held postpartum matters.
How you are empowered in parenting matters.
I am here for it ALL!
I am truly blessed to work with people during such an intimate season of their lives. Birth is sacred, raw, and emotional. It is my job to protect and honor all those who have birthed and all of those who will come to birth. I cherish all the BIRTHdays I have been a part of and am excited for all the BIRTHdays I will be invited to!
